The Firm

What's Our Story Then?

[vc_separator style=”simple”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”]

After spending seven years training with a reputable, large independent firm of technically-excellent Chartered Accountants in Glasgow City Centre, then some very worthwhile years as a manager within a forward-looking, progressive practice in Lanarkshire with an emphasis on value-added services, our Director, Andrew Morrison decided it is time to do things differently.

Andrew is offering his services directly to you as he believes sometimes the best way to do things is to do it your own way, but hey you are in business also, so you get this feeling too?

We will let you into a little secret at this stage – anybody can call themselves an accountant.  Anyone.  No repercussions.  There is no legal regulation of the term, unlike say, a ‘Doctor’ or ‘Dentist’.

If you’re reading this waiting on your surgery appointment, that at least may let you breathe a little easier, but what about the health of your business?  Surely, just like you, your business deserves a qualified professional to look after it?

Be assured as our Director, Andrew Morrison, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Here is what the ACCA has to say on employing an accountant without professional accreditation:

Being a professional accountant with the ACCA requires training, qualifications and experience.  Being an ‘FCCA’ means your accountant has been a professional accountant keeping up to date with regular training and holding a clean disciplinary record for at least five years since qualification.

Our Director, Andrew Morrison, is an ACCA professional accountant, holding ‘FCCA’ fellowship status, so you can be guaranteed of all of these things as a client of Morrison’s.
